It’s said that women and men are from two different planets when it comes to communication, but how can they overcome the obstacles of prehistoric times when one of them simply doesn’t have the ability to comprehend language?
Ehd’s a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He’s strong and intelligent, but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful young woman in his pit trap, it’s obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. He doesn’t know where she came from, she’s wearing some pretty odd clothing, and she makes a lot of noises with her mouth that give him a headache.
Still, he’s determined to fulfill his purpose in life – provide for her, protect her, and put a baby in her.
Elizabeth doesn’t know where she is or exactly how she got there. She’s confused and distressed by her predicament, and there’s a caveman hauling her back to his cavehome. She’s not at all interested in Ehd’s primitive advances, and she just can’t seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant – and often hilarious – struggle. With only each other for company, they must rely on one another to fight the dangers of the wild and prepare for the winter months. As they struggle to coexist, theirs becomes a love story that transcends language and time.

Transcendence is a unique and refreshing tale highlighting the strength and endurance of the human spirit. A standalone read of love and survival that will captivate and compel until the very end.
This is an unconventional love story between a modern day young woman and a caveman. Yes, I know, it sounds completely crazy and off the wall when you put it like that, but Shay Savage has struck gold (or flint) because not only is this storyline unlike anything out there in the ebook ether right now, but the real stroke of genius came by giving this remarkable Neanderthal full narrative.
Yes... meet Ehd, our storyteller.
An intelligent prehistoric man incapable of speech is about to take you on an journey of a lifetime.
How, I hear you say?
Well... as dialogue is pretty non existent here, the beauty is in the description. Transcendence works because every scene Ehd paints in our minds, the emotions he portrays, is palpable to the point of real.
Yep, I have the "hoh" hots for a caveman. An alpha who is a hunter, a fighter and a lover, who will stop at nothing to protect his mate from the dangers that lurk outside his cave. His strength and mindset was inspiring even though the challenges both characters faced were huge.
Gone are the luxuries of modern day living; the only thing here that matters more than food is keeping the fire alight and the entrance of your cave safe from predators. Desperate measures in a cold and harsh world beckon and yet the need to find a mate and procreate is as important as breathing air.
Our heroine... bless her, she had quite a challenging transition to make over the weeks and months that ensued, and as we only get to know Beh through Ehd's eyes, suffice to say, she is an angel who finally manages to accept her fate and embrace her role in this scary new world.
This is a life story that spans through the ages and I couldn't put it down. The writing was impeccable as was the characters and the ending answered that one burning question that kept niggling me throughout, wrapping up this story perfectly.
"Kel luffs Ehd and Beh", and you will too...
