Manwhore +1 (Manwhore, #2)
by Katy Evans
Malcolm.. baby... you're back in my life! Thank you Katy!!
Malcolm Logan Preston SINFUL Saint!!! Holy Hotness!!
DIBS, DIBS, DIBS, FREAKING DIBS!!!
Rachel you freaking lucky wench you!!!
Ok, let me just say that I inhaled this story. The continuation of Malcolm and Rachel.. I mean.. OMG.. then ending of book one cut my soul with loss!
And Katy, bless Katy, she starts us off right in that living hell! Rachel is lost and broken without him and it's not like you can just go chat with a freaking billionaire easily so she poured her heart and soul in her article, with the smallest bit of hope that Malcolm might read it, and if there were miracles in the heavens, might forgive her, might even just look her way... again.
Weeks go by and nothing. Zero. Zilch from Malcolm. Has he just forgotten her that easily?? Would he ever have contact with her again?
This beautiful story shows both Rachel and Malcolm very vulnerable and very heartbroken without each other. It shows their trepidation at being together, that innocent blush full journey that might just take them to their happily ever after.
I can't give it away, I need you to experience the rawness that is Malcolm... the Hotness that is Saint!!
Katy, get your arse to writing babe. I need more of Malcolm! Being a witness on their journey was priceless.. and gah!!! the ending!! <3

Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.
Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.
I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.
Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I've become a hopeless Sinner.
Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me--something unexpected--and I want this wicked playboy's heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

Manwhore +1 is a worthy and enjoyable second instalment although I feel it lacked the excitement and deep intensity of its predecessor. I absolutely adore Malcolm Saint, he is a man who harbours some deep seated insecurities, but who can control any situation; he is not afraid to fight for what he wants whilst keeping his emotions locked down tight, but Rachel Livingston changed everything. She exposed not only his emotions by firmly planting herself in his life and his closed off heart, but she exposed herself within the pages of an expose that he was unsavvy to until it landed on his desk.
Angry. Confused. Betrayed. Malcolm is fuming but he can't help but feel a small bubble of pride towards the woman who caught him completely unawares in more ways than one.
Rachel is heartbroken. She may love her job and her place at Edge but her 'love letter' to Malcolm Saint is being ridiculed by some and quoted as brave by others, either way Edge just got the injection it needed, but nothing can fix the pain of betraying the man she accidentally fell in love with.
Building bridges and exposing herself to Saint is the only way forward but when Helen, her boss confirms a company takeover headed by none other than Noah Saint, Malcolm's abhorrent Father, Rachel finds herself stuck between two very powerful men. Now she can prove to Malcolm once and for all where her loyalties lie as she makes one of the biggest career decisions of her life. She is ready to take that leap, the question is... is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint, ready to catch her?
I did enjoy this second instalment but I felt it lacked in character progression and the plot fell a little flat for me. There was copious amounts of make up sex and sadly, not really much else. I would have loved an all out angst war with Noah. So much emphasis was put upon him as being a real tyrant, but you didn't get to witness any of it.
I agree that Rachel has grown a little, but her incessant blushing got old quite quickly.
Valentine is a blast. I love her gay work colleague, and Gina didn't rub me up the wrong way as much as she did in Manwhore. Malcolm as ever is divine. You cannot help but fall for him, he just makes this series for me. I fell for him in Manwhore and my feeling have not changed. I just wish we saw more of the ruthless businessman fighting for Rachel instead of a man aimlessly in love, doing her a favour.
All in all, a sexy, heartfelt, entertaining read with some epic toe-curling moments. I still call dibs on Malcolm Saint.
