Love Garage (Love Brothers, #1) by Liz Crowe
A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!
Antony Love is the quintessential responsible oldest brother of a boisterous, Italian/Irish family, placed in charge at a young age by his parents who are busy running the family business. He manages his siblings with a fair but iron hand, until his life is shattered by personal tragedy leaving him the shell of the man he once was.
When outspoken matriarch Lindsay Halloran Love becomes ill, the youngest brother Aiden shows up at Antony's garage, having dropped out of school (again), needing work and a place to crash. Antony provides both, with three caveats: "Don't smoke in my truck, don't be late for work, and don't mess with my girlfriend."
But Aiden Love, budding novelist, gets one glimpse of Rosalee Norris, young widow of Antony's lifelong best friend and all bets are off.

’Sexy and honest storytelling with an injection of real-life drama that kept me entertained from the first to the final page.’ Kelly, Perusing Princesses
It’s official; I want the Love family to adopt me. All that testosterone makes for one exciting read, even though at the heart lies a complicated Love triangle/square that unfolds gradually throughout the story.
Lindsay and Anton Love were high school sweethearts. With strong Italian/Irish roots, their commitment to their large family of 5 siblings; 4 Boys and a Daughter, is notorious, and it is no secret that while Lindsay is the matriarch, heart and soul of the family, Anton is the enforcer. With four boys, there have been a few scrapes, some broken hearts and more than a dollar in the swear jar or two, but overall, the Love family are united.
Aiden is the only Brother that left the family unit to pursue a career in writing, however, the journey has been arduous and is still far from over. When he comes home to the news that their Mother is battling stage 4 cancer, the Brothers come together once more to give aid and support.
Anthony is the oldest and a successful mechanic, his garage not only offers a means of employment for Aiden on his return, but Anthony, although begrudgingly, offers him a room at his apartment.
Rosalee is the wife of Anthony’s best friend, who unfortunately passed while on tour in Afghanistan. With a young four-year-old son who is a complete whirlwind, she leans on her good friend Anthony for advice and support.
Anthony is still grieving over the loss of his ex-wife many years past, even alienating himself from his 17-year-old Daughter. In a nutshell, Anthony is scared of commitment, never allowing himself to move on… that is, until now.
Rosalee loves Anthony and knows he would be the perfect provider, for her and her son. But it all changes when Aiden comes back into town.
Aiden is enamoured by Rosalee. The self-confessed playboy has hit stalemate, and although he loves his Brother dearly, Rosalee and her son, Jeffrey is everything he has ever wanted, and sometimes you have to fight for your future, consequences be damned…
Although this is a triangle, I didn’t feel like the affection was reciprocated as it should have been between Anthony and Rosalee, so it made their indiscretions palatable. Plus, without giving anything else away, their is a wicked little twist that makes this story unlike other ‘cheating’ novels I’ve read. Whereas one always gets hurt, the events that unfold here are quite the opposite, so those readers who are against the whole ‘infidelity’ angle may want to give this one a go.
My only gripe is the ending seemed a little far-fetched, even though it worked in this particular instance, I would have liked to have seen a longer fall-out. I guess this family are unconventional in the sense that they can be killing each-other one minute and hugging and joking around the next over beer and a game of basketball. I guess the saying, ‘boys will be boys’ works very well in this instance.
Liz Crowe is a fantastic writer, and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
For now, this princess is definitely #TeamAiden <3 ;)

I love Liz Crowe books, I am yet to read one that hasn't had me neglecting my housework, my husband and my children in pursuit of what happens next. I was therefore absolutely honoured when Liz approached me to be an early reader for her new and first venture into the world of Indie publishing.
As with all the books Liz creates, her talent really lies within her ability to create lives, people and families that you immediately feel attached to. Her scene setting is sublime and the real life drama, humour and matters of the heart are truly her signature. Let me state right now that the Love Brothers series is no different.
Set in the Kentucky landscape, the Love Brothers series starts how it means to go on with Love Garage. The loves are a Italian/Irish family of 7, with strong wills, lots of love and of course lots of drama. Each book will cover the lives of the 4 male siblings of this family and knowing Liz, they will all be packed to the rafters with every emotion possible.
In Love Garage we meet the oldest brother Anthony, owner of the Love Garage and widower through tragic circumstances; he is also father to a teenage daughter who he struggles with on a daily basis. He is however focused on supporting his best friends wife Rosalee and young son following his friends passing.
Also in this book we have the youngest brother Aidan. Back in Kentucky following yet another failed attempt in college, this aspiring writer is a general let down to his father. Back with his tail between his legs, he decides it might just be time to settle down and find a profession that will finally make his father proud.
What will happen when Anthony and Aiden go head to head in the chase for Rosalee's affection? Will it be Anthony's cool and calm demeanour or Aiden's adventurous and carefree abandon that win over the lady in question? Add in a boat load of family drama and 4 hotheaded males and it might just cause fireworks.
Liz strikes again guys!! if you are a Liz fan you will absolutely love this book. It is quintessentially Liz. High drama, family complications and good old steam; if you haven't experienced a Liz Crowe book journey, this is a fantastic place to start.
She is the self-styled queen of "real life romance" and hell, if the crown fits (and it certainly does) then she certainly deserves to wear it.
A Must Read!! Coming January 2015
