Infatuation (Knights Rebels MC #4)

By River Savage

Book 4 in the Knights Rebels MC series. Each book follows a different member as they find love, so it can be read as a standalone. However, this is a fab series with great characters and I recommend reading them as they were written to get to know each and every one of them even more.

Beau McIntyre is on a mission. A mission to save women that need help escaping the fear and horror that is domestic violence. He takes his role as VP of the Knights Rebels seriously. Standing shoulder to shoulder with his brothers and in particular is life-long best friend and President Nix is something that comes as naturally as saving these damaged and broken woman. But it has become an obsession, and he is determined that he will protect and save every last woman that reaches out to him; even if that at times pits him against his brothers and club that he loves so much. But it is one woman that he saved that he can’t forget. The desperation and hurt she endured resonated within him, bringing back memories of the one person he couldn't help.

Mackenzie Morre has been free for 18 months. Free from the fear, the violence and from a husband that ruined her love for him with his intimidation and need for control. Now living in Ohio, she has managed to slowly integrate herself back into normality, but she has done it with one eye permanently looking over her shoulder. Saved by a member of the Knights Rebel MC, she will never forget the kindness and care he showed her. When he delivered her safely to her her new life, he did it promising she would always have his protection; she just hoped she would never have to take up the kindness of his parting words. But when Chad tracks her down, she is left with no option. She needs protection and he is the only person she can trust.

How will Beau react to the reappearance of a woman that touched something deep inside him? How will the club feel about protecting someone that could bring trouble to their doors? And will Mackenzie ever be able to forget her past and move toward a brighter future?

This series just get better and better. With each book River Savage’s storytelling becomes more skilled, more refined and more captivating. I love how different each member is. How each story is completely different, whilst keeping it within the framework of the series as a whole. This book in particular will touch many readers because of its central subject matter – Domestic violence. It is a subject matter that she has covered with the utmost sensitivity, but has written in such a raw and palpable way. Because of this, Ms. Savage includes a warning of potential triggers and this is something that should be heeded if it is a subject that affects you personally.

This book isn't an insta-love. It’s an insta-connection of protectiveness and attraction that grows and matures between two characters that each fight demons, guilt and the ghosts of their pasts. Mackenzie will need to learn how to trust Beau’s dominating ways, and in turn Beau will have to trust his feelings and believe in himself to make it work. Of course the rest of the club are ever present and it wouldn't be the Knights Rebels without some kind of drama. This book won’t let you down, indeed the drama at the end of the book leaves me hopeful as to a members’ story that I didn't think we’d ever get to see. #RiverSavageYouGeniusYou.

Another MUST READ book by River Savage. This is a brilliant series for MC lovers and MC newbies alike. Roll on book 5!

River Savage stories of the Knights Rebels MC just get better and better! And I LUV Beau!!

In this installment we get the story of Beau McIntyre, VP of the Knights Rebels and best friend of Nix the President.  And we get the story of Mackenzie Moore, former wife of very powerful and abusive man.

Beau is plagued with guilt from not saving his sister Missy in her abusive relationship... As a result of her death, Beau dedicates his life to save women who are experiencing abuse.  He risks his life time and time again to get these women into saftey, as he did with Kenzie, 18 months prior, but somehow her husband found her.

Kenzie is a strong woman in hiding trying to make a life for herself after surviving the trauma she lived.  The flashback scenes with her husband are brutal and take your breath away.  Somehow this man finds her!  She narrowly escapes and runs straight back the Beau!  Instinctively knowing that the connection she felt with him when he rescued her would ultimately save her life because she knows she can trust Beau.  But can she trust herself around him?

Infatuation brings the family of the Knights Rebels front and center, which is something I love about River Savage's writing.... she makes you feel strong connections with well developed characters and you feel that you are part of the story as it happens.  I have got to tell you that the scenes of Kenzie and her husband are brutal, and you feel like you are suffering right along with her and this insane man abusing her!  It is a deep and moving read and at times can really make you feel her pain.  Beau is an amazing man.  He is all Alpha, but overtime he calls Kenzie "Darling" I just melt a little more in love with him.  He treads carefully with Kenzie, fearful of what is developing with them, respectful of everything she has been though.  At the same time he is having a really hard time not going full steam ahead with her as his very dominant nature wants to take control.

Their slow burn to full on inferno is OMG squirming-ly good!!  Beau can have his way with me anytime even with his extra kink in the bedroom!!

The drama that transpires with everyone is seriously consuming... Especially with Brooks and Kelly, their story is heartbreaking.  Can not wait for the next one Ms. Savage!!
