Hot as Hades (Four Horseman MC, #2) by Cynthia Rayne
Cowboy is a former rodeo star and a member of the Four Horsemen MC. He spots Daisy Weston stripping in a club owned by the club’s rivals, the Raptors. They have taken her younger sister, Rose, and Daisy is determined to free her at any cost.
With Cowboy acting as her bodyguard and guide to the outlaw world, she is getting closer to discovering Rose’s whereabouts, one lap dance at a time. Despite his better judgment, Cowboy finds himself falling for the pretty ex-marine and putting her in harm's way every night is becoming more and more difficult.
Can they rescue Rose, before the Raptors discover they are really working for the Four Horsemen?

Book 2 in the 4 Horsemen MC series
So I will admit that although I enjoyed book one, for me it lacked a little substance. I like my MC reads a little more gritty and I absolutely love reading about club life; book one lacked that if I am being totally honest. Can I say now that I think Cynthia Rayne was warming us up. Book two is on a whole other level and for me showed where Cynthia plans on taking this series...
Daisy is an former marine and has arrived in Texas searching for her missing sister Rose. The only lead she has is that she was last seen with her boyfriend "Rock" who was a member of the MC known as The Raptors. This has led to employment at The Pussy Palace strip club.
Cowboy is a member of the Four Horseman MC. His club may not always stay on the right side of the law but they try to only deal in legitimate business and have a somewhat vigilante style. In particular they have issues with trafficking women and when they learn that the Raptors are involved, Cowboy is sent to find out intel at their base, The Pussy Palace.
Mistakenly believing Cowboy to be a Raptor, Daisy drugs him to try and find out information, however Cowboy is onto her and they soon realise that they are in fact on similar missions; my enemies enemy is my friend. Teaming up with the Four Horsemen, Daisy finds herself and Cowboy "Partners" and on a mission to find Rose; they just have to make sure that their attraction and sexual tension don't get in the way.
I really enjoyed this book. As I have already said, what book 1 lacked this had in spates. It had grit, violence, angst, tension and mystery. The storyline was very much entrenched in the club and you really got a glimpse of life in Hell (not literally - that's the name of the town they are based in LOL!) and it was totally different in theme, pace and direction to book 1. I really do think Cynthia was easing us in gently folks.
You will love Daisy and Cowboy. Don't expect insta-love in this book. Yes they have a instant attraction but that is very much put on the back burner to the main story; although you will get a heavy dose of angst and will they wont they. These characters have heavy back stories and for very different reasons struggle to form relationships. The way the characters are written makes you hurt for them and hope that they can find there HEA together. All of this with the backdrop of a missing teenager by a truly outlaw MC - My perfect bloody MC book!!
Without disregarding book 1, Hot as Hades is where I hope we see the rest of the series going. We get a sneak peak into Duke's book and let me tell you it, is going to be serious as shit; I can't wait! I am also looking forward to Shep's book, that is going to be yet another direction and I look forward to seeing where she takes his story.
If you enjoyed Sweet Perdition like me, you will absolutely LOVE Hot as Hades. Roll on Duke's story!
