Harmony (The Club Girl Diaries, #1)

By Addison Jane

Synopsis

Harmony makes no excuses for who she is or what she’s done. For the past few years she’s been living as a club girl for the Brothers by Blood MC. The club girls are there for a purpose - to cook, to clean and to keep the men happy. She respects the club, respects the men and she follows the rules. Watching the men walk in and out of her life is strangely comforting, and a feeling she’s grown accustomed to. With a history of disappointments and false promises, all she wants is to have fun, play music and finish college. Being associated with the club, she can do that without having to risk her heart. That was until he showed up.

When Kit's father stepped down as president, he took the title with pride. The Brothers by Blood MC is his family, his home. Deciding to celebrate his new title with his brothers from a neighboring chapter, the last thing he expected was to find Harmony - a club girl with all the makings of a perfect old lady. The stunning blonde is beautiful, strong and fiercely independent. Harmony refuses to lower the walls she’s created around her heart, but the fire inside her and her love for the club fuel his need to have her by his side, and on the back of his bike.

When Harmony’s safety is threatened, Kit is determined to do whatever it takes to protect her and prove that she can trust him. But after a lifetime of broken promises, will it be enough?

Book 1 in The Club Girl Diaries.

Harmony is proud to be a small cog in the bigger wheel known as the Brothers by Blood MC. She may not be an Old Lady, but she is comfortable as a club girl or as as some would like to call her, club whore. It gives her a place to live whilst studying music; her number one passion. she respects and has the respect of the members of the club and the freedom to have sex without commitment or hurt. Harmony is a fiercely independent woman who loves her life and who makes her own decisions. She doesn't need or want more... until he arrives.

Kit is the new President of a chapter of the Brothers of Blood MC. He has taken over from his father and has great pride in taking the helm of a club he has spent his whole life around. To strengthen his leadership and to reinforce good relationships, he decides to visit his old friend Optimus down in the Athen's chapter. Kit isn't looking for an old lady and certainly not one in his friends club. But when he catches sight of a certain blond, he is determined to make her his. She may be a club girl, but it is obvious to him that Harmony isn't in it to get a property patch. She is strong and stubborn, but she also respects the hell out of the club, the brothers and the life. She is perfect Old Lady material and he will have her.

The chemistry is instant, but will Harmony be able to leave her life as a club girl behind? Will Kit convince her that she is perfect to sit by his side? and when threats are made against Harmony, will Kit protect her or will he turn his back on her because of her lowly status within club life?

What a brilliantly original book. I am our resident Queen of MC romance. There aren't many I haven't read, and I can honestly say that this is a new and refreshingly different take on it. In most books, Club Girls/Whores, Sweet Butts, whatever you want to call them are the trash. The skanky, slutty girls that are usually depicted as the threat to the central relationships. In this book however, the whore takes centre stage and I loved it. Yes, even in this book there are the trashier girls, but Harmony is just a girl who loves her music, sex and the club that she calls home. It was great to see club life from this point of view, and to see the whore become the heroine.

Told from a dual POV, you will love Harmony. She is everything I have already said and more. She has a great spirit and because of the way she conducts herself and the respects she has for the club, she is held in high regards. Kit is bowled over by her and he instantly knows that she is perfect for him and of course the club he leads. He is kick arse and there is nothing soft about him. He knows what he wants and he will have it. He is the MC alpha hero of old and I couldn't get enough!

Obviously there is a threat and it doesn't just involve Harmony. The club as a whole get involved and it makes for some true grit and great club politics; which I love in my MC romance. There really are some great characters and I look forward to getting to know them more as the series unfolds. It's Chelsea next and you get a hint at her and Optimus's story dripped throughout this one. I can't wait to find out more about them both.

This is my first Addison Jane book and it is an absolute cracker. If you love your MC's then this is a must read. It is a new take on club life and I couldn't recommend it enough. Harmony and Kit's story is wrapped up but we are still left with a slight cliffhanger. Don't worry though, it just has me now excited for book two and hoping more than anything that Addison Jane is a quick writer. Great book!
