Synopsis

Events happen in life that can awaken our truest and deepest desires. They also show us our greatest fears. Sometimes we are forced to face those fears, other times we build walls that can't be broken to protect ourselves.

A profound connection these two once shared. A strong friendship once formed was shattered. Fate has stepped in and shaken both their worlds.

The danger, the wild, the chaos, and the lifestyle of the Hellions world has become far too much for Savannah 'Sass' Perchton. Swearing off bikers and attempting a 'normal' life, she has settled. She's committed to Nick, her country club, pretty boy. She's found a way to be content.

Things aren't always what they seem. Wrap an empty box in pretty paper and a bow, it may look amazing, but it's still a hollow shell.

He's a Hellions playboy. A different chick in his bed, off on a different ride, and always something new. He's Frank the 'Tank' Oleander, Haywood's Hellions Road Chief. Throttle down and life is good.

The fast pace of the Hellions life catches up to him. At a crossroads, he's forced to face some life changing thoughts or succumb to the darkness of death. Teetering on the brink of giving in, her voice is all he's holding onto. The coma he can't pull himself out of, but her voice is the light in the darkness. He wants the girl who pulled him through when his life was literally in the balance.

She's sworn off bikers. Can he pull through? Can she ever see past the lifestyle to the heart of the man behind the cut? Will they find their Forever Ride?

Book 2 in The Hellions Ride Series.

I wouldn't say it is essential to read book 1 - One Ride, however I do believe that it will increase your reading pleasure if you do.

After tying up Doll and Tripp's story in book 1, we move onto Sass and Tank's story.

If you have read book 1, this story starts approximately 8 months after the conclusion of One Ride. Sass has all but left the club; her only connection now is her job at the Hellions garage and the visits she makes to Tank, who is still lying in a coma.

Sass is disillusioned with The Hellions MC. She has spent her life watching her mother being cheated on and left to worry herself sick when her father Danza leaves the family on club business. After the events of book 1, as well as Tank's rejection of her following their 1 night together she is determined to leave that life behind. She intends to do that with Nick her pretty boy in a suit.

When Nick starts to pile on the pressure for her to commit, she decides to move on completely; cutting off her friends and family, she resigns from the Garage and makes an emotional visit to say goodbye to Tank.

Will Nick be everything she wants? Will she be able to leave the club and her family behind? and when and if Tank recovers, will she be able to move on without the love of her life?

I loved this book. It was a completely different story to One Ride both in pace and content. This story has very little to do with the club; more about whether someone who has lived their whole life in a lifestyle, is able to move on and change who she is in her heart.

Sass/Savannah is a very different person in this book to the first. You feel her torment and pain; you understand her want for change but my oh my you will seriously want to slap her around the face to wake her up.

Tank, well I loved and hated him in book 1. In this book you understand why he made the decisions he did in One Ride. He is obviously in a coma, but that doesn't stop his POV being told in a very original way. The love he has for Sass is all encompassing and his actions in this book show that in spates.

Nick.... What a freak! won't say anymore than that as he is just too much of an integral part of the storyline. What I will say though is that you will want to give him a serious kick in the balls.

I love that you also get to see the other side of the events you didn't see in One Ride and that you get to see more of Doll and Tripp; as well as Rex, who I'm really looking forward to reading about.

The only negative I could give this book is that I wanted a bit more sex. Having said that, the story didn't warrant it and when we do get there it is HOT!!!

Another great instalment, without a cliffhanger - roll on book 3 :)

P.S The cover is so much better for this book ( my main issue with book 1) I think he is the same model, but he suits Tank much better than he did Tripp.
