Devil's Game (Reapers MC, #3) by Joanna Wylde
Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.
Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.
Or so she thinks.

This book is about the Reaper's MC princess, Em. Em knows the ways of an MC Club, she was practically raised by one.. Then there is Liam's, a.k.a. "Hunter". He has a foster background, and is a broken boy with a secret... And the secret could destroy what they could have!!
This book left me loving Em, as she is a very strong character... and who wouldn't love Liam...

Book 3 in the Reaper's MC series - This book could be read as a standalone, but why would you want to do that when the previous two are so freaking good?!
This third instalment centres around Em and Liam/Hunter. We have met both characters in the previous books; particularly in the last book where we started to see a growing attraction between them.
From their 1st meeting to how their tumultuous relationship develops, will they find love when the backdrop is one of hate and vengeance?
Em is Picnic's daughter. Picnic is the president of the Reaper's MC and loves his daughter's above anything else. Due to his protectiveness, one daughter has left home to gain independence; Em on the otherhand is left to try and live the life of a young woman under the watchful and controlling eye of her father. Having stopped dating due to Picnic shooting her last boyfriend, she is determined to meet someone and finally lose her V card. An unlikely relationship develops via the internet with the swoonworthy Liam. Finally arranging to meet up after striking up a genuine connection, she finds herself in the clutches of Hunter; Devil's Jack and nemesis of the Reaper's MC.
Liam has had Em under his surveillance for quite some time. Devil's Jack prodigy, he needs to gain leverage over the Reaper's and in particular, Picnic. Liam however immediately wants Em and after getting to know her struggles to maintain the lines that are impossible to cross. He shouldn't want her but he does and the repercussions of that will test both his loyalty and commitment to his club and to his mentor and saviour.
How will Em react when she realises she has been used and played all along by Liam? Can she make a life away from the club and her father's control? and will her loyalty to her father and his club be tested by her growing involvement with Liam?
Can Liam remain focused on the bigger picture for the sake of his club? or will feelings and emotions question everything he has ever wanted and compromise both his and Em's future?
Oh how I loved these two characters.
Em is just fab! We got to know her quite a bit in the previous instalments and I always believed her to be a pampered and some what spoilt club princess. Wrong! Em is actually a really strong and spirited character that lives her life with clipped wings. She is determined and won't take any shit. The connection she feels with Liam is genuine and she will fight whatever obstacles are put in the way; including Liam himself.
Liam is seriously HOT! Again, we have had the pleasure of meeting him in previous books and yes he is just as badass as you think he is. Liam however is a lot more complex than that. He has had a seriously fucked up life and one particular event changed his destiny; having a profound effect on the relationships he maintains and the loyalty he shows to one man in particular. Em throws a spanner in the works for Liam, she alters his destiny and makes him question whether his loyalty and commitment should above anything or anyone else be towards himself.
Wow!!! Can you tell how much I loved this book? It is no secret that I love a good MC romance. For me, this series is one of the best. It has the perfect balance of gritty club life and love, sex and angst. The journey both Em and Liam go on together and apart is a hard one. You watch them grow as individuals, which has a profound affect on relationships they have with there clubs, friends, family but above all else, each other.
I love this series, but for me, this is the best book yet! I loved the dynamic between Liam, Em and Picnic.... on that note you get to see more of Picnic in this book and what you find is quite unexpected. I look forward to his story next.
If you are looking for a journey of self discovery, trust, loyalty and finding love in the most forbidden place; Devil's Game is a MUST READ!
