Desolation (Jokers' Wrath MC, #4)
by Bella Jewel
Broken Biker + Broken Angel = Desolation
In this final chapter of the Jokers' Wrath MC by the UHHH-Mazing Bella Jewel... we read about Tyke and Pippa...
Pippa is Santana's little sister, who was sold and lived as a slave for 5 years before being rescued by the MC.
Tyke is a member, and had been in a horrible motorcycle accident that crushed both his legs...
They are both in a very dark place, while trying to survive in the present... They both have been giving each other support, strength, friendship and love from the moment they met.
Can 2 broken people heal each other?? Or is it chaos and an inevitable sad ending?
I have got to tell you that Bella Jewel has no restraint when it comes to writing... she will push the limits and throw you in an abyss of feeling the characters pain and fear like no other... She will twist and shock you our of left field where you are just left with no breath in your lungs and your mid reeling from the impact!
This was my favorite story in this MC series... it had a lot of past and present which gave us almost 2 stories in one while at the same time getting the "whole" picture. It was a painful and bumpy ride for the Jokers' Wrath MC... can not wait for her other books of the supporting characters.

The girl you all know as damaged. Quiet. Broken.
She doesn’t fit in. Nothing in her world feels right. She’s trapped in a spiral of darkness that seem to be consuming her day by day, until she sees nothing but an empty, black hole.
Her world is a dark place she can’t escape.
She has people around her who matter. Who love her. But it’s not enough. Not enough to break her out of the bitter despair she lives in.
He knows pain. He knows darkness. He’s sweet. He’s kind. But most of all…
He understands her.
Combining their demons doesn’t seem like the best plan. Everyone is against them. He deserves better. She deserves better. They’ll never work. They’re too broken. Too damaged. It’s a destructive combination that will only end in heartbreak.
He’s a biker. She’s a broken angel.
But in their desolation, they find peace.
WITH EACH OTHER.

Book 4 and the final instalment of the Jokers' Wrath MC series. Each book can be read as a standalone, however certain storylines do cross over into each book. For that reason (and because it's a fab series) I would suggest you read the series from the start.
This is Tyke's story. We first met Tyke in book 1 and he has been an important and interesting character throughout the series. In fact, this has been the book I have really looked forward to. Why? Because Tyke has been confined to a wheelchair following a biking accident. Having smashed his legs up, his prognosis wasn't great, but it could have been so much worse. It would take time and treatment to regain function, but most importantly it would take Tyke's determination. And there lay the problem. Tyke had lost the will to fight and was depressed and too accepting of the chair he relied on to get about... Until her!
Pippa is Santana's younger sister. Saved by the Jokers' Wrath boys 3 years earlier, she has struggled to re-enter society following 5 years in captivity. Forced to work as a slave, she has seen horrors that she wouldn't wish on her worst enemy. Quiet, subdued and lacking in both self-esteem and confidence, the only people she can be around are the club members that show her such care and compassion. In particular Tyke, who adds bright light to the darkness that surrounds her. She has spent the last 3 years watching him fight to walk and he inspires her to try to get her life together. He makes her want to live and be free of her past... For him!
This is a great conclusion to a brilliant series. The previous 3 books in the series have been very different, exploring a variety of situations and the effects they have on each relationship; this book is no different. Like Maddox and Santana's book, this one is an emotional journey. Both Tyke and Pippa are fighting their own pasts and trying to move on and overcome the obstacles that life has thrown in their way. Through these fights they find each other and it becomes a beautiful love story and a struggle they take together. Tyke becomes the protector, the inspiration and in turn Pippa becomes his very reason to breathe, to fight and above all to love.
Once again Bella Jewel gives us a great snapshot of life and love in an MC. I cannot recommend this series enough. I was a big Bella fan before this series and I am now a huge one. Each books she writes stands on its own and each character is unique. If I am being super picky then I would have preferred less back and forward with the timelines in this story. The book does delve into Pippa's past and her experiences in captivity. Yes it was essential, but for me, I would have liked a bit more of the now. I found the epilogue amazing and it certainly tied the series together, but it did feel a tad rushed. I reiterate though that I am being super picky because I have to be with this author. All her books are superb, and as a reviewer I feel I need to delve even deeper so as not to gush about everything and anything she writes.
I am sad to say goodbye to the Joker boys. I have enjoyed their journeys and the HEA's they have found in the outlaw world in which they live. At the same time though, I look forward to the upcoming projects. Onwards and upwards, that seems to be Bella Jewel's MO!
