Burning Desire (Condemned Angels MC, #1) by
Jeremy Moretti and Chase DeLuca have grown up together and into different MCs. Their lives were promised and destined to the Condemned Angels and Hell's Rebels. As they grew, so did Chase's feelings for Jeremy's younger sister, Roxanne.
Stemming from separate clubs, they have all the stakes against them. Michael Moretti, President of the Condemned Angels has forewarned Chase to stay away from his daughter. There is too much at risk and clubs stick to their own. No mixing whatsoever.
The years apart have done them good, however, Roxanne has finished school and is back home, and back in Chase's life. However, she isn't alone. Roxanne is dating the Treasurer of her father's club.
Things start to go wrong as their secret feelings grow stronger for one another. Will Chase fight for what has always been his, or will the MC stand in his way?

Burning Desire is the story of Roxy and Chase.
Roxy is the princess of the Condemned Angels MC. Daughter of the president Michael Moretti; Roxy lives with her father and older brother Jeremy. Having lost her mother several years ago, Roxy lives a good, if not protected life.
We start the book as Roxy is preparing to head off to college. She is also in total love with Chase De Luca; Jeremy's best friend and heir apparent to another MC, Hell's Rebels. After catching Chase taking Roxy on her first motorbike ride, Roxy's father makes it very clear to both Roxy and Chase that a relationship is not on the cards for them and under no circumstances will they start anything. Mixing between MC's is unacceptable and after taking Chase off for another chat, Chase rides of without saying goodbye. A few months later, the passion they share bubbles to the surface. Chase however tells Roxy that this is the 1st and only kiss they will ever share.
10 years later....
Chase is back on the scene after spending some time away focusing on his club and securing his reputation as the new VP. Roxy is also back and working in Jeremy's club as a dancer.
Roxy doesn't strip but on seeing Chase for the 1st time in years, she can't help herself. When they come face to face she gives Chase a taste of his own medicine, telling him that the kiss she gives him better have been good because it was the last he will ever get.
Will Roxy and Chase finally get the opportunity to develop the feelings they have had for each other for most of their lives? How will Jake, Roxy's boyfriend and Condemned Angels treasurer react to Chase being back on the scene? And most importantly, when a threat to Roxy comes to light, will it be Chase or Jake who protect her?
Ok, so I did like this book - it just fell a little short in places for me.
I really liked all the characters; Roxy was a strong-minded woman who knows what she wants and won't accept being pushed around or intimidated. Chase is your typical biker alpha male. He loves Roxy, but has a huge amount of respect for Michael and Jeremy. This obviously made him walk away the first time, but an older and wiser Chase is back and he wants Roxy and is struggling to stay away this time. Jeremy is the protective older brother. Loyal to Chase but always puts his club and family 1st, he harbours feelings for Nicole; Roxy's best friend. Nicole is fun loving and unaware of Jeremy's feeling... Or is she? Jake, well as the current boyfriend he's has to be an arse. He is, you defiantly want Roxy to kick him out of the door.
The storyline on the whole was a good one, it was fast paced and kept my interest throughout. I usually like my MC romance books a little more gritty and dare I say it, violent. This book isn't that, it is more a forbidden romance in the MC world; I actually quite liked that, it was different and sometimes you want a bit more lovin’.
The main issues I had were the lack of depth the story had. I think the author was so focused on the romantic element that she didn't, for me, develop the characters or storyline as much as she could have and this is a shame. It led to the book feeling a little rushed. Feelings and situations moved a little too quickly, making the book just a good read rather than a great one.
I was also left feeling a little confused as to why Chase was able to have the type of relationship he had with Jeremy, but not with Roxy. At times it even felt like Chase was in fact a member of Condemned Angels - This needed more explanation, instead it was brushed over.
That being said, it really is worth a read. If the mixture of MC and forbidden romance appeals to you, you are sure to enjoy it.
The book does end on a cliffhanger, so I hope we don't have to wait too long for book 2 - Ride Hard. I also hope we get to see more Jeremy and Nicole in the book. I can see that love story being an interesting one.
