Synopsis

BEHIND HIS EYES—TRUTH is the second of the CONSEQUENCES SERIES three reading companions, by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig. It is recommended to be read after completing all three books of the CONSEQUENCES SERIES: Consequences, Truth, and Convicted. It is not a standalone book and should not be read as such.

This reading companion explores the thoughts and motivations of Anthony Rawlings and his struggle to accept the truth behind the consequences. It is not intended as a total rewrite of TRUTH, but meant to enhance the reader’s understanding.

BEHIND HIS EYES—TRUTH contains significant scenes from the novel TRUTH, as experienced from Anthony’s point of view. It also contains never before published, behind-the-scenes information, a glossary of the characters, and a timeline that grows from Consequences to include the array of new characters and revelations found in the pages of Truth.

BEHIND HIS EYES—TRUTH is the continued journey inside the mind of the man who survived the consequences. This companion allows readers the opportunity to witness first hand as Anthony’s world changes forever. His rules and control begin to slip away, threatened by the most unlikely foes—an experience completely unfamiliar to him. Can something as pure as love and forgiveness wreak havoc on his well-planned existence?

First off… I have to state that I have been “Aleatha'd” (the state of living within the mind f**kery of Aleatha Romig) for soooooo long it seems, I have been the submissive sheep, and follow, right off the cliff, without hesitation, into the world of Anthony Rawlings.

I have never, ever, in my life, hated someone human or fictional, like I have hated Tony in Consequences!  Only then we get the back-story, the door that leads into the mind of this sadistic bastard in Behind his Eyes - Consequences. Delving into his mind still did not make me LOVE him. I dove straight into TRUTH, because I had no other reason to live or breath until I saw revenge enacted with all the evils of Pandora’s box unleashed on Tony, it's the least he deserved.

But, (please note this is where this review gets tricky and little batshit crazy): ohhhhh… and this is the absolute beyond anyone’s comprehension of amazing that is Aleatha Romig…. she… SHE… yes, damn it… she makes me fall for the monster…. HOW??? nooooo!!! Whyyy???.. omg!!… Insanity at its finest… nooooo!!! … That, my lovelies, is being Aleatha'd without novocain.

So, many sleepless nights later, I am deep into the mind that is the monster, my Tony, (yes mine) in Behind his Eyes - Truth. And what do I get by being the proverbial fly on his cranial walls? Tony becomes more "human" in his actions, in his thinking, in his entire being, with regard to Claire.

WHHHHAAAAT!!! nooooo that can’t be… I have PTSD from his evilness… Princess… WTH??? Snap out of it!! We are supposed to hate him… remember??? Don't you remember stalking Aleatha, just to explain to her that you have lost it and you are sending her the therapy bills?? If, EVER, there has been an evolution in a character, that character would be Anthony Rawlings….

Well done Aleatha with Behind His Eyes - Truth…. I bow down to your mind-f**kery any day, any night, anywhere….

And to the reader I say, 'What are you waiting for?? RUN… DO NOT WALK… and read this!'

I cannot WAIT for Behind His Eyes - Convicted!!
