Before I Break (If I Break, #1.5)
by Portia Moore
Out of the past six years of my life, I only remember about half of it. After a dozen doctors and thousands in medical bills, I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder--one that causes me to lose track of time. Sometimes it’s hours, days or even weeks with no recollection of anything. The good thing is it's been almost two years since I had my last ‘black out’. It sounds much better than what the doctors refer to them as, 'episodes', like my life is a freakin' comedy.
During those two years of normal, I finally managed to get my Bachelor’s degree, a job I love, and I’ve just proposed to a woman who has been there for me through it all. For the first time in a long time everything is on track.
Until a strange woman shows up at my door—she says I'm her husband and I think she’s crazy. Until, I get a voice mail on my phone. It’s from a guy name Cal. The weird part is, it’s the same name the strange woman called me. What terrifies me, is this guy Cal…his voice sounds just like mine.

Book 1.5 in the If I break series.
I should HATE this book. This is told completely from a male point of view and also some of it rehashes the last part of book 1. Let me state this very clearly so you have no questions as to whether this instalment is necessary. IT DEFINITELY IS!!
If you have read book 1 then you will know that you need into the husbands mind to start answering questions that you the reader have. If you haven't read book 1 then STOP reading now. This is a continuing story and although you could pick it up, that would be utterly mad. Book 1 is currently free and is bloody brilliant.
Before I Break is truly a bridge into book 2, preparing you for the tough terrain ahead for Mr & Mrs Scott. You will certainly have some of your questions answered but by the last page you will have even more.
New characters are introduced in more detail; some very likeable, some not so much. Your heart will be torn to shreds and the sympathy that you will feel for the H/h will reach new highs. If you are a fan of angst like me you will be in your element.
Well Played Ms Moore - you are a genius and have me on pins for book 2.
