Oh my oh my... Bennett Bennett Bennnett.... (Sigh)... You incredible sexy beautiful bastard!

"I didn’t want to want him. I needed to be strong and be my own person, to prove that I controlled my path in life, but every part of me ached to feel him. I didn’t want to feel all this…this wasn’t the person I wanted to be. I needed to regroup at the hotel, remember the anger and hurt that he caused, and be the strong woman I knew I was."
To say this is a highly dysfunctional love affair would be somewhat of an understatement - instead, lets go for turbulent, intense and destructive, and throw in an obscene amount of lustful hate just for good measure. Is there such a thing as ‘lustful hate?’ Well… there is now. Put on your power panties ladies, because this book threw me for a bloody loop.
Parts of me wanted to scream at these two kids, tell them to stop destroying each-other with their unconventional means of ‘getting one out of one’s system.’ And yet it’s written with such a sheer aggressive intensity, I just couldn’t let go as I felt myself getting sucked in to this highly unconventional love story.
I welcomed the double viewpoints of both Chloe and Bennett, as I needed that connection to find out what the fuck was going on inside their heads, as they struggled with this deeply profound connection that bordered on the brink of possessive infatuation.
So… when this book took a change in direction, I was more than ready for it. I welcomed it, and if I’m honest, I breathed a sigh of relief. The rollercoaster took a little detour; it slowed down and let me catch my breath. And catch my breath it did, because half the time it was in my throat as I felt myself starting to fall for a Beautiful Bastard.
This book needs to come with a health warning. There are copious amounts of sex and sometimes it isn’t even rational and I have a bugbear when book characters ‘Orgasm’ on demand, come on… we all know it doesn’t work like that - but seriously, what is it about these successful alpha office types? Well, Bennett Ryan has definitely been added to the list of sexy suits, there is no denying it.
Regardless of a few things I probably would have changed, i.e. the Twilight character name references, I actually enjoyed this book. I mean… I really enjoyed it! Therefore, I am declaring it a 4 handcuff winner
