Ella Dominguez

I'm a full-time mom, wifey, healthcare worker, and wanna be switch.
I was born and raised in a sexually repressed,
strict Christian household in the bible belt of the USA.
This upbringing and repression contributed to my wicked imagination and writing has been my only outlet for my sexual fantasies.
Finally at the ripe old age of 40, I've mustered up enough courage to share my naughty thoughts and put pen to paper.
I sincerely hope to find my niche in writing erotica in all forms,
be it romance or paranormal.
I don't consider myself an author.
I consider myself an avid reader above all else, and someone who simply writes the stories that the voices in my head tell me to.

The Art of Submission

Elizabeth - 4 handcuffs

This book is different from most as it really has his and hers POV, at each scene. It's like being in everyone's head and a fly on the wall at the same time... I really liked it. Who wouldn't want to know exactly what the person you are speaking with or doing things to is thinking... I know I would! Well done ms. Ella... And then that ending! Can't wait for dec for book 2!

BOOK REVIEW: The Art of Submission by Ella Dominguez - (ORIGINAL VERSION)

Isabel: “I’m happy to see that we’re stopping to eat some dinner, since we didn’t actually eat lunch today. Instead we just argued, I pouted, slapped him, bojo’d him, and then I came like a freight train. I’ve had a very busy day.”

Holy Hot Sugar Goodness, this book contains one very innocent, humorous, yet feisty female lead, a crass and very naughty alpha-male and BDSM 101 that will leave you hyperventilating and squirming in your seat. Okay, did I use the word squirming? Well what the hell, I can’t wrap this up in a box with a pretty bow, it is what it is, a damn good erotic love story with an alpha that can give Christian Grey a little run for his money.

Fans of Fifty Shades will like this book as the content is similar, but different enough to earn it’s own credit as a good story with likeable strong characters.
Isabel is a recluse who is paid minimum wage at the local art galley and hides behind baggy clothes and long shaggy blond hair, and yet inside her there are undiscovered depths and untouched desires just waiting to be fulfilled. Her only way to express her hidden secret is through her art in the form of Erotic oil paintings.

Her Boss is opening an art show to all the rich and elite clientele in Denver and uses a couple of Isabel’s pieces as a last minute resort to cover a bare wall, knowing they will not be incorporated within the show itself and are not for sale.

In walks Dylan Young, a highly successful and wealthy businessman who has a passion for art. Good-looking and arrogant he begins to realize that the shallow and samey clientele is far from his ideals and lurks in the darker shadows of the gallery, stealing himself away from the unwanted buzz. As he embarks on a little detour he comes across two pieces that captivate him and kick-start his memories of a past that he longed to forget.

Spellbound by the incredible erotic paintings, he buys them from Greer, the manager of the Gallery, who seems reluctant to let them go and asks a hefty price. Young obliges and takes the paintings away with him immediately.

The next day, Isabel is furious that her boss allowed the sale of her much-loved and very personal pieces of art and makes a point of trying to salvage them back from the buyer, that is until she realises they were bought by the most eligible bachelor in town.

Swallowing her nerves and a little pride, she timidly visits the businessman at his place of work only to be blindsided and dismissed by his snotty receptionist. Dylan immediately wants to meet the woman who created such wonderful pieces of art and decides he wants to buy more of her work.
Soon, Dylan pursues Isabel relentlessly, hoping to get a glimpse of this amazing artist, but he wasn’t quite expecting to feel attracted to her. As a mutual attraction grows between the unlikely pair, and his passion for her art starts to consume him, Dylan makes Isabel an offer that she can’t refuse.
Playing out her ultimate fantasy as a submissive has its perks, until the idea of wanting to express some control of her own becomes an issue with her Dom. Throw into the mix, an incorrigible boss, and an abusive past and these issues become paramount and the need to learn to trust becomes the forefront of this amazing story.

I would have given this book 5 stars, however I did notice quite a few mistakes in the form of missing words in sentences and a few spelling errors. Also, the double viewpoints were great but only when the main characters were separated. I found that I scanned Isabel’s viewpoint regularly in the middle of the novel as I had already read these scenes in Dylan’s, so therefore it’s probably just a personal preference thing on my part.

I have been advised by the author that the new edition has been trimmed down, and the double P.O.V of each scene has been reworked.

I am very impressed with Ella Dominguez and her gift of storytelling. This book is HOT! Definitely not for the faint-hearted, but it’s believable and many parts are incredibly humorous, which actually had me laughing out loud. We have a hot new author in town ladies, well done Ella! :)

Ella Dominguez is proving to be a strong voice and a HOT new talent to watch in the world of BDSM 'erotica' Fiction.

Book Review: The Art of Domination (Book 2) – Ella Dominguez

'Holy sweet world of domination,' did Ella whip this up a crack or two. <--- ha, see what I did there. Eat your heart out Dylan Young, I can play on words too!
What an incredible second instalment. The writing and flow has gone up ten-fold in this sequel which incorporates a thicker plot that flows consistently well, enough so that by 60% you will be holding on to the edge of your seat by your wet panties.

I don’t deny that I had a few issues with the double POV in The Art of Submission, but Ella has taken on board some of her reader’s comments and come back with a cracking vengeance to prove that Double POV truly can work in a scene succession format.

Dylan Young… what an intense, dominating, possessive son of a handsome bitch. Goodness me. There were times I almost felt the need to jump out of my beloved reading chair and hit the floor in a kneeling position, eyes down, in order to continue with each scene because not only is Dylan Young’s character completely captivating but, YES. HE REALLY IS THAT INTIMIDATING!

”Speak pussycat; tell your Master you love him.”

I don't like comparing characters in books as I feel it necessary to keep each novel by each author separate as they all have an identity and a magic of their own. But… for those of you who may have recently jumped on the high street paperback Fifty Shades and Bared to you love wagon, then The Art of Domination just upped the stakes in alpha male intensity - Set those hard limits a little higher, and give you an insight of what it’s like to be a true Dominant.
Yes, Dylan has a shady past, and yes, he has deep regrets but he also knows that the dominant male in him was present since birth. He didn't have an abusive past that has been factored into his current afflictions; in fact we learn that he had quite a normal upbringing with his dominant streak inherited genetically from his Father. This is a man who is centre of his own universe. He’s invincible. With wealth, connections and a team of loyal associates, no one can touch Dylan young. He has no limitations and no weaknesses.

That is… until now.

Isabel Ibanez waltzed into his life when he least expected it, like a whirlwind she knocked him sideways and proved that love could exist in a Dom/Sub relationship. Now, five months into their kinky love-fest Dylan knows that this woman is IT for him and wants nothing more than to put a ring on her finger.
”Did you really mean it when you said I’ve belonged to you my whole life?”

“Absolutely. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted. I just didn’t know it until I met you.”

”I love you completely.”

Isa cannot live without Dylan, he is everything she has ever wanted. He is a man of his word, one she can trust with her heart, her soul and her life. When she agrees to a quick private ceremony she feels her life is where it should be now. With the man she loves - Her soul mate. Her Dom.

But, when their Honeymoon period becomes fraught with threats and a face from Dylan’s past makes a reappearance with a vice for causing trouble, Isa wasn’t quite prepared for the depths others will go to, to voice their irritation and annoyance at their hasty nuptials.

When Isa’s Father gets the scoop on the story, he toys with his Daughter’s emotions, knowing that Dylan has the power to cause him some ‘unwanted’ attention. With Dylan privy to Isa’s abusive past at his hand, Mr Ibanez immediately puts Dylan on the dangerous enemy list.

But this is the least of their worries for now, because it looks like there could be mole in Dylan’s tight network, and this kind of leak will not only have devastating effects, it could literally destroy everything.

Where Isa’s character paints pictures with inner vision, Ella Dominguez paints pictures with words. Each scene is captivating and really pulls you in. The intensity of their relationship grips you and yet you still feel the heartfelt love and affection that Isa and Dylan feel for each other. It’s not always healthy, but it’s true and that’s what matters.

There were moments when I cringed, literally! Dylan has his moments, and there will be times where you won’t particularly like him, then he will redeem himself in the next breathe by saying or doing something that will knock you bandy! Honestly, this dude knows how to play a role, and Ella’s hard work and dedication in delivering an honest account of dominant role-play is valiant.

The characterisation has grown exponentially and I am excited to read more about Sawyer. We see a bigger glimpse of the quiet man who protects in the shadows and I think I’m crushing on him, just a little. ;)

And can I just say… EPILOGUE? Wow, talk about how to set up book 3. Can’t wait!
An excellent, well thought out sequel

The Art of Control

Holy Angst Overload! This Pussycat needs to take a deep breath and calm her tits...

This series finale was edge of seat panty gripping stuff as drama after drama unfolded. It was incredibly emotional, sweltering hot, and executed perfectly. If you are intrigued by BDSM romances or the idea as a whole, then bypass the 101 handbook and read this series, because Dylan Young will teach you everything you need to know. ;)

BOOK REVIEW – The Art of Control (The art of D/s, #3) Ella Dominguez

“You know, despite what society says, sexual sadism isn’t actually a sickness. Quite the contrary, it’s a lifestyle choice. Some people just need to pull their heads out of their asses and wake up to the new sexual revolution.”

Ella exceeded all my expectations with this 3rd and final instalment of the Art of D/s trilogy. Whether you enjoy BDSM ‘erotica’ based fiction or not, there is no denying the fact that Ella Dominguez has taken a taboo subject and translated it into one of acceptance and beauty.

I’m not saying this series is an easy read. Dylan is the ultimate ‘dominating’ alpha, he can be incredibly intimidating and highly self absorbed but the love that he and Isa feel for each-other goes above and beyond anything ‘vanilla.’ As a reader it consumes you. It pulls you in… and it doesn’t let go.

The bedroom/dungeon/shower/public bathroom cubicle/sex-club scenes are HOTTER THAN HELL! They even managed to make me blush more than once and that is something in itself! But that’s only one aspect of it, because this book is so much more! Its not just another ‘smutty’ read, as it also covers some serious subject matters – primarily one of a shattered past; a childhood plagued by domestic violence and abuse, given to us as snippets from Isa’s journal entries. Some of it is upsetting… you have been warned!

*

With the threat of Isa’s Father still at large, Dylan and Sawyer are doing everything they can to gather evidence of the Murder of Isa’s Mother, and the role in it which Emilio Ibanez played.

With Isa’s attack at the hands of Cassie and Alex still racking her of nightmares, Dylan decides to get her out of Denver for a while, as he surprises her with a belated Honeymoon trip to Paris.

With the double first person narrative we play witness to some real comical, quirky, yet beautiful and heartfelt scenes as they both succumb to the passion and consummate their marriage in the city of Love. And in true Isa and Dylan style, they soon become acquainted with other practising dom/sub couples at a BDSM club and make a new friend in a Dom called, Luke.

“What is it about Paris that I just can’t keep my hands off of you?” I ask him inbetween kisses.
“It has nothing to do with Paris and everything to do with my raw sexuality, baby. I’m fucking irresistible.”

“Oh how I love to watch you fly, my precious angel.”

When Dylan comes under threat by a man wielding a knife in a side street of Paris, it doesn’t come without its suspicions. Then, to make matters worse, Isa’s ex boyfriend turns up on the scene to stir trouble.

Meanwhile, Sawyer is holding the fort back home and he’s about to prove his worth when Mr Ibanez sinks to a whole new level and distributes video evidence of Dylan and Isa’s secret lifestyle.

With the national papers and paparazzi taking a keen interest in Dylan and Isabel’s ‘sordid’ sex life, it seems nowhere is safe for the newlyweds, and its just about to get a whole lot worse…

*

I have so many scenes highlighted on my kindle it’s unbelievable! I thought the dialogue was amazing, the writing flowed exceptionally well and the characters grew exponentially, especially Sawyer! We are gifted with his own POV in certain scenes of this book which was a real treat as I felt myself crushing on him by the end of book two. I just hope Ella gives him his own story.

Fifty Shades of Grey fans should definitely read this series!
