THE MIGHTY STORM
It's been twelve years since Tru Bennett last saw Jake Wethers, her former best friend and boy she once loved.
Jake Wethers, sexy, tattooed and deliciously bad lead singer, and brains behind The Mighty Storm, one of the biggest bands in the world, left Tru with a broken heart when he moved from England to America with his family when they were both fourteen.
Sent to interview Jake for her music column by the magazine she works for, they are both unprepared for the sparks that fly the instant they reconnect. Only, there’s a complication to their instant feelings for one another—Will, Tru’s boyfriend of two years.
Then Jake makes Tru a job offer she can't refuse—travelling the world with him and his band. But taking the job means leaving Will behind, and being on the road with the band means spending an inordinate amount of time with Jake.
Is Tru strong enough to resist the delectable bad boy who once held her heart so completely, or will she willingly risk it all for one night with the world's most notorious womanizer?
WETHERING THE STORM
Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?
Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.
Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?
A love story with bite …...
Walking home after a night out drowning her sorrows with her best friend, Carrie, Alexandra Jones stupidly takes a phone call from her cheating ex-boyfriend, Eddie, and in her anger hurls her phone into the forest before her.
But when Alex goes to retrieve her phone from the undergrowth, she and Carrie come face-to-face with a monster they never even knew existed, a Vârcolac (a nightmarish vampire-werewolf hybrid) and he's in search of fresh blood. The next thing Alex knows, she is staring at the impossibly handsome but mysterious Nathan who has helped bring her back to life, but not to the life she left.
To her horror, she discovers she has now become a blood-drinking Vârcolac herself and she is the only female of her kind, with the potential for breeding a whole new army of Vârcolacs if they can only track her down and press her into service.
And while Alex gets to know Nathan and his shape-shifting family as they offer her the protection she so desperately needs, unbeknown to all of them, the Vârcolacs are getting closer …
Original Sin is book two in the Alexandra Jones series, the sequel to First Bitten.
Alex has run. Leaving everything she knows and loves … Nathan, behind. She’s a fugitive; hiding from the Original Vârcolacs who want to claim her for themselves.
Hiding in Italy, she has changed her identity and her appearance; working in a coffee shop in the quiet town of Sassano.
Then Zeff steps into her life. He’s solid, sturdy, but more so he’s human – he’s someone real, tangible, a friend throwing her a lifeline in a world of loneliness.
Believing she's safe from attack, nothing prepares Alex for what's lurking in the woods, on her doorstep, intoxicating her into a web of control and deceit.
Danger is closer than her shadow ... the hunt is on again, forcing Alex into the hardest dilemma yet.
Praise for First Bitten, the first book in the Alexandra Jones series:
‘The ending - god what an ending! It's so emotional I think I spiraled for a while, unwilling to let it go. As a reader, hooked from the first chapter, I'm prepared to send death threats to get a sequel to this novel. There MUST be more, I need more!’ Poppet, author of the Pravus series and The Gods and Thurs series.
‘So much happens that you just want to know, “What happens next”, “Will everything work out okay” , “WHY!” and to top it off the ending has a cliffhanger that has you saying, “That’s it?!?!” It definitely leaves you wanting to read the next book.’ Marie, Paranormal Reads.
‘I'm ultra-excited to have found such a brilliant new series! First Bitten is Book 1 in The Alexandra Jones Series and I devoured it in a day. I don't want to give anything away, so all I'll say is it has all the elements to make up the perfect urban fantasy: a very real and sympathetic main character, a terrifying supernatural situation and the hottest love interest you could imagine!’ Shalini Boland, author of the Marchwood series and Outside.

Death is sad, love is agony. Max was her next job. She got his name just before he died and it was for her to lead his soul to heaven. She was a Bringer. Then Max started pleading (as they often do), but not for himself, for his son, James. Would she look after him, would she comfort him as he grieved for the loss of his father? James was a sensitive young man. He would take his father's death very hard. Well, Bringers don't do that sort of thing; their exclusive role is to usher souls to heaven. They are not allowed to get involved in earthly affairs. However, when she saw James, she felt something she had never felt before - an emotion, a shock. She was a Bringer. Bringers do not have emotions. Yet she couldn't help herself. She found herself being drawn inexorably towards James and his life, against every instinct she had ever had, against every law of the universe. And she fell in love. For a Bringer, that is a terrifying fall.

Q. Many authors stick to a certain niche, however you write across both contemporary new adult romance and paranormal. How easy do you find crossing between the two and can you write both themes concurrently?
I've never tried to write both themes at the same time, so I'm not sure if I would be able to! But moving from one genre to another I have no problem with - the switch up can make things fun!
Q. You are a successful author, a wife and a mother to young children, how do you manage? Describe to us your typical 'working' day.
My life is a lot easier than it used to be as I have more help now! Back when I was working and, managing mummy and wife duties was tough. But my typical day now is... get up make the children's breakfast, do lunches, get them ready for school. Hubby drives them to school, so that's when the coffee is made and I sit down, turn my laptop on and start working. When the kids come home from school, we have family time and dinner. Once the kids are in bed, depending on where my mind is, I can usually end up back working. But of course not to neglect the hubby too much we have takeaway and film nights together!
Q. What character has been the most fun to write?
If you'd have asked me this question a few months ago, I would have said Jake. But now after writing Jordan... the guy is just hilarious! So now I have a tie between my two J's.
Q. What are you currently working on?
A few things ;)
Q. We know that you decided to try your hand at writing while on maternity leave, what finally pushed you to take the literally pen to paper plunge?
My hubby did. I'd been writing on and off for years, but I'd never managed to complete a full manuscript. So when I was on maternity leave, I was lucky, as my son slept brilliantly. So I had free time while he was napping, and hubby encouraged me to really give it a go. I did, and it worked!
Does your Husband have a single twin Brother?
haha! unfortunately, he doesn't!
