Archer's Voice (Sign of Love, #4) by Mia Sheridan
When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.
Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.
This is a Standalone Novel. The first three books in the series need not be read to enjoy this book. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Mia Sheridan is one of the most masterfully beautiful writers I have ever had the privilege to read!
Archers Voice is brilliant!! I have never read anything as original as this. The way Mia sucks you in and does NOT let go, whether she has you riding high with butterflies, first kisses and beautiful love, or leave you hanging on with your very soul through such gut wrenching tragedy you feel like you have held your breath for hours.
Gah...this beautifully amazing story about the most deep and pure and broken man, Archer and his Bree - only ever his Bree... it's just too much. I will never be able to write a review to give this story even a little bit of justice. I can never convey the depth of feelings I have for this story. It's just perfectly beautiful!
I Bree you Mia!!! Thank you for another amazing experience!

This book is why I love to read. Archer's Voice is a beautiful, heartbreaking, tear jerking unique story - Mia Sheridan just writes gold every time!
I do not know how she comes up with her subject matter, but I applaud her. I stand and Applaud, throw confetti and glitter. She deserves a parade and public adoration. I Bree this book so much! Mia makes me want to hug my iPad!

Its moment's like this that further fuel my passion for reading. Mia Sheridan never ceases to amaze me - not only is she a genuinely sweet person but she was born with an unprecedented raw talent that many of us could only ever dream of possessing. Her stories are honest, heartfelt, emotional, passionate and real. Not one word is misplaced, no stone left unturned, no obstacle too much as her words envelope you, take their hold and weave their way into your entire being - heart, soul and psyche, taking you on an unforgettable journey of a lifetime. Her work is never formulaic, unlike so many other contemporary romance novels out there, but rather shine bright like the constellations the sign of love series was founded upon. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Archer's Voice is nothing short of extraordinary!
Bree Prescott is fleeing her home after a tragic event, stripping her of her freedom and violating her safety, she escapes her suffocating confines and embarks on a new journey which places her in a small lakeside town in Maine.
With no job, limited funds and no friends, she hopes this time alone will help in letting go of the past and finding some sense of closure. She just didn’t expect to find him…
Archer Hale is a recluse. Hiding behind long hair and scruffy beard, he longs to remain anonymous - an impossible feat in a small town with a Hale family past. A past that continues to haunt him, one that rendered him silent and irrevocably broken.
He never expected to see her that day, as her bag of personal items scattered haphazardly onto the street. He never leaves the house if he can help it, but something made him aid the girl with the sad smile…little did they both know, it was a touch of fate’s hand, as the course of their futures was about to change, entirely…
This is a powerful love story that speaks of innocence and depravity. Archer is nothing like I imagined him to be, if anything, the direction this story took is what surprised me most because I haven’t read anything quite like it. The market is saturated at the moment with tortured alpha males, and I can honestly say, this premise came totally out of left field and I could kiss Mia for it. There is nothing predicable about her work. She is the ‘element of surprise’ queen, who enthrals her readers to a level that many can never reach. This girl may shoot for the stars, but she hits intergalactic planetary every damn time!
Her dialogue is magic, and I mean ‘MAGIC!’ Even in a book where sound is limited, a voice muted, she still makes every word from this beautiful boy sing right off the page.
I mean… this is just one example:
“What are your dreams, Archer?” I whispered, wanting to know what was in his heart.
He looked at me for another couple of beats and then pushed himself back onto his knees and pulled me up so I was straddling his lap. I smiled at him, wrapping my arms around his neck, but pulling back to let him speak.
He brought his hands up and said, I didn’t know enough to dream you, Bree, but somehow you came true anyway. How did that happen? He rubbed his nose along mine, pausing and then pulling back again. Who read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted, even when I didn’t?
Archer and Bree’s story captivated me from the opening chapter. It flowed so beautifully, the words poetic and structured with unwavering ardour as they paint vivid pictures across every page. You get to appreciate the characterisation so fully, that by the end it’s hard letting them go. But that is the greatness of this series, every book is a standalone with an epilogue to die for! So yes, you can read this on its own, but to experience the beauty of this series, start at Leo and work your way through, you won’t be disappointed!
