Elizabeth, Kelly and Emma
I am a stay at home momma of a beautiful princess who just turned 6, and a very handsome 20 year old prince... (omg! just typing that made me feel old!! lol) I live in Sin City and am transplanted from Texas. I am a Texas girl forever!
My first memories were sitting next to my Daddy in the living room and being read too. I began reading at a ridiculous early age, and spent most of my free time growing up sitting next to my Daddy on the living room couch reading. We would literally spend the entire day doing nothing but living in the book world and spending time together. My Daddy has past on many moons ago, but he instilled in me this passion and I am eternally thankful!
Luv u Daddy!
I love to read pretty much everything. I have gone through so many genres from biographies and history, to western and horror. I was deep into Stephen King for many years, and I once literally pulled a back muscle while I read His book The Long Walk in one sitting! For the past year, (thanks to my friend and author Kahlen Aymes...xox) I am seriously into romance novels of all kinds... especially the angsty, want to throw my ipad across the room kind of books! I also enjoy the swoon worthy and darker stories (blushing now) but shhhhh... hubby would be shocked so it's our little secret!
I am pleased as punch and tickled pink about our blog... I hope you enjoy this site as much as we love reading!
Name: Princess Kelly 'the Kindlesessed'
Age: Hahaha, yeah...Jog on!
When not having her head stuck inside a book, or in her case, a kindle fire, Kelly is known to live on Facebook and actively tweet-stalk her favourite rockstars and authors. Married with two children, 8 and 5, she has spent the last 17 years of her life working in trade publishing.
Hailing from the cold and rainy shores of England, she was born in the City of London, and later relocated to the county of Hampshire where she grew up.
She married her own Rockstar six years ago, although he never hit the 'bigtime' and has now lost his long flowing locks, the days of being young and living fast is what drives her passion for escaping within contemporary adult romance books, especially those that involve leather clad, long haired rockstars and bikers. She's also a lover of paranormal romance and has a weakness for anything Vampire.
Finding a love for reading started very early for Kelly, with her favourite childhood book being 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe,' she appreciated the magic of good storytelling and progressed to more adult orientated novels quickly, having read the Flowers in the Attic Saga by Virginia Andrews by the age of just 13.
She found her true passion in her early 20's with paranormal romance. Stumbling upon the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon she was immediately hooked, which then followed onto works by the likes of J.R Ward, Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole, Jacqueline Frank among many others.
However, it wasn't until she purchased her first e-reader that her literary library added a new shelf. She was welcomed into the world of Indie Writers with open arms. Her first trip down the self-published lane came in the early days of Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, followed quickly by Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia, Love Unscripted by Tina Reber and Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and was astounded that books as amazing as these originated from self-published authors. Then it came... the Amazon Kindle one-click frenzy that spiralled to the point of no return, and what catapulted her into the world of book reviewing.
"In all honesty, I never set out to read and review books. I had reviewed books in the past on Amazon, but I didn't understand anything about blogging. The only book reviews I had ever seen, besides customer reviews, had been in the national papers. Then one day, I stumbled upon Goodreads, and well...the rest is history."
History indeed! Goodreads opened up a whole new world for Kelly, not only did it help her communicate with likeminded individuals who share the same passion she does, but it gave her an outlet to test her reviewing skills. It was soon thereafter that she started receiving more friend requests and positive feedback for her reviews that she realised this was fast becoming a new passion that ran concurrently alongside the old one. Reading. In able to merge the two together it gave her a new vocation to add to the favourite hobby checklist.
It wasn't until Kelly was invited onto a Facebook hosted book club page by a writer friend, Kahlen Aymes, that she met Elizabeth. The two girls quickly formed close friendships and alas, Perusing Princesses was born.
"Now, with the launch of our first Book Blogging Website, Elizabeth and I are hoping to give back to those writers. Their stories have seen us through some great times, dark times and sad times, yet they have continued to stay with us and further fuel our passion for reading, so it's only right we help them were we can, and give something back in return. If one review sells only one book, then its all been worth it."
Thank You for being a part of our little world on the Web!
We appreciate each and
every one of you!!

Born in Manchester in the late 70's but bred in the very southern and leafy Hampshire, England. I am your typical English lady... (Yeah ok, that may be pushing it a little) I am a stay at home Mummy to my Son Harry who is 8 and my very strong minded daughter Elysa who is 5.... going on 25. Married to my teenage sweetheart, I enjoy spending time at my family holiday home in the beautiful Dorset, going to the gym and of course reading.
Reading is truly in my genes. My father is a huge reader and I grew up surrounded by books and visiting 2nd hand bookstores with him. I have loved reading from an early age and my first books were childhood classics such as Enid Blyton stories and Little House on the Prairie to name but a few. When my teenage years crept up on me I discovered and read the complete Sweet Valley High series. I can remember saving up my money just to buy the next one, and having to wait until I had enough pennies to get my next instalment.
Teenage fun, party's, exam's, college, work and finally becoming a mother reduced my reading to holidays; but I always crammed as much in as possible... There is nothing quite like a bit of Jackie Collins smut beside the Mediterranean.
It has been said by many people and without it sounding cliché, my passion for books was reignited when a certain Christian Grey entered my life. I had to see what all this fuss was about and it truly made me realise that the written word is the most entertaining medium for me. It lets my imagination flow and a good book really sucks me into it's bubble; it is my escapism and I go nowhere without my kindle. I have got very skilled at doing everyday tasks such as cooking with 1 hand.
My reading soon became something more when I started reading Indie authors. I discovered new genres, (my ultimate favourite being MC romance) started joining forums and liking blog and author pages on social media. I soon found myself beta reading for a very talented Indie author and discovered that actually my passion was becoming something that I was quite skilled at myself. Let me say now that, I certainly don't possess the skills to write a book myself, but I begun to enjoy reviewing books and this led to an introduction to the lovely Kelly through a mutual friend.
I can't begin to tell you how honoured I am to have joined Elizabeth and Kelly at Perusing Princesses. I am feeding my passion and hopefully helping fellow book lovers select and enjoy the amazing variety of books that we have at the click of our fingers.
My Name is Emma, and I happy to call my self a complete and utter reading addict!
We are Elizabeth, Kelly and Emma.
We are three women who joined together in creating
our little corner of heaven to enjoy our passion.... Reading!
We met online on a facebook reading group, and became fast friends. We have read hundreds of books together and love discussing and reviewing them. We have laughed a lot, and we have moaned and been angry, we have cried, been in shock, and we had to take many a cold shower with the books we read. So we came up with the idea to extend what we love with others.... and have some more laughs and swoony sighs... Hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!
